Operations Manager March 1999 – January 2001
Directed the operations of the
Regional Consortium Violations Processing Center (VPC) – over 60,000 toll
violations per day with a staff of 93 day employees and 23 evening
employees. VPC is financing an Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) project
with total worth in excess of one-half billion dollars. Experience
includes the full scope of effort in bringing a complex, sophisticated
operation to fruition. Tenure began as a team member in the development of
the VPC design solution and operational requirements through the
establishment of automated and manual processes and procedures. Worked
with software team in the development of a unique application to automate
processing. Participated in and directed the planning and implementation
of acceptance testing with the customer, ramp up activities, staffing, and
equipment recommendation and acquisition. Provided guidance in the
development of business rules to support customer requirements. Created
and implemented operational plans and manuals.
General manager position entailed the supervision of a
management team of 6 professionals in finance, court and collections
interface, and human resources. Accountable for the accuracy and
production statistics of the operations staff, as well as data analysis
and reporting violation activities to Corporate and to a five-agency ETC
consortium.
